Post OT: Answer back to Insane Motorcyclists

Some of you may remember my post a while back about a crazy guy doing wheelies behind me while driving - Insane Motorcyclists

Well here's my own "Oh Yeah?!" answer back to him. Check out the movies down at the bottom of this page. Thats me in the brown jacket, and that's my yellow bike.

Hey Jax, nice bike. You know anyone looking for a very nice FZR? I have mine for sale, and the market here sucks! Here's the info.

Perry, does the market suck when the weather's a bit better? I know that values dip (substantially) at this time of year... as in, I bought my GF's bike for just about a third its current market value 2 years ago. Wait it out till spring, then some kid who's away from home for the first time will pick it up without mommy and daddy knowing (i.e. hit the dorms). Should be easy enough to unload in a college town.

Perry - as a matter of fact I do! The guy that made the page (the YSR owner) has been keeping his eyes open for a nice FZR. I kinda think distance is the biggest issue here though. I'll let him know.

As far as the movies go, I think he was going to change the link tonight to somewhere that isn't as easily maxed out. Stay tuned...

Let him know. I guarantee there is none nicer out there. I take care of my toys! I could also arrange a "vacation" to the area, and could bring the bike with me to deliver it.

As far as the market, Cincinnati is not a big bike town. I took out a 2 week ad last summer to see if I could get some nibbles, but I only had a few, and they were all far less that KBB value.

I let my bro have it for about 6 months in South Carolina 2 years ago, and he had about 50 people ask if I wanted to sell, and at that point I did not want to.

The market plays a huge part in selling something.

Already have a 951 project! I gotta sell it to pay some of my bills.

Really wish I could keep it.

Perry,

2 years ago when we had a bad winter here, I had a 1978 Kawasaki Z-1R that I couldn't give away locally for $1500- I got $2800 for on Ebay and the buyer paid shipping to SoCal...New rings, pistons , paint, rare bike, no leaks etc., just no market here.

Just a thought.

I have thought about doing the E-bay thing. Perhaps when spring rolls around, and I do not get any bites from my local paper.

I have had good luck with E-bay, but a $4000 bike is diffrent than a $200 amplifier!

We'll see.. I really want it to go to a bike freak that will take care of it.
