Sitting and waiting on parts to come in is a real pain in the .... The fiberglass is on it's way, also waiting on the brake rebuild kits from Sunset and a bunch of parts from Paragon.

No data on the weight savings from the fiberglass, but I hope it outweighs the added weight from going with bigger wheels and brakes. I had been running Fuchs with 245/50-15's, each weighed 36 lbs each. Just weighed the Cups with 275/40-17's and they weigh in at a hefty 46 lbs each. Add to that 968 brakes that are a few pounds heavier and my car's weight has just increased by around 48 lbs (all unsprung) Sure hope the added grip is worth it.

Took a few pics this weekend. Sorry, didn't have matching wheels on when I took them. Fronts are 255/40-17 Nittos and rears are 275/40-17 Hoosiers. And yes, the 275's fit just fine in the front as well.

Got some 3m panel adhesive today and got the rear flares glued on. Will let those cure until tomorrow night and then start the bondo to blend them in. The car will be off to paint next week.

Appears to be a filled in 944 n/a valance, although I could be mistaken.

Do you have any pictures of you fitting the flares and front fenders?

GT racing with a "trick" plywood splitter

Front fenders are pretty much a bolt on, just have to add one bracket in the lower wheel well. In the photos, the rear flares are tacked on with a couple of screws. Tonight I applied a bead of 3m adhesive and clamped it with even more screws. When it cures I will remove the screws and fill with fiberlass.

Front valence is much more work. It is held on by 4 dzus fasteners and a bracket on the splitter.

beings its a race car i would bolt the rear quarters on and not bondo them in. If you do mold them use some stuff meant for molding metal to fiberglass - i believe Kent makes it but there are other brands. Bondo=cracks and weight.

Did a quick search on Kent but didn't find what you are talking about, can you be more specific.

Car is back from paint and will be ready for Barber in one week. Photos show two different wheel types and tires sizes. The 10 spokes have Nitto NT-01's and will be my practice/de setup (255's), the cups have Hoosier R6's (275's) and will be the qualifying/race setup. Not the best paint job, but I didn't pay much and it is 10x better than my spray can job last year

Well.... I'll have to say I'm impressed! The splitter turnbuckels are a nice touch. It's finally the way that you really wanted it. Can't wait to rub on you Sat.!!!

Not bad! Looks very aggressive with the wheels carrying the NT-01s

Just don't look too closely at the paint job, but it's a good 10 footer.

Rub on me, I'll be passing you so quickly you won't know what happened
