UPDATE...
I was able to successfully build a carrier for the car and this is how I did it.
I went to Northern Tool and bought 4 3" metal casters that each had a rating of 1000#'s (can't be too careful.
Then I went to the lumber yard and bought a 2x10x10 and cut it into 3 40" pieces. I took 2 of those pieces and bolted them to the 4 casters.
I placed the other 2x10 on top of the legs of my engine hoist.
I put the engine hoist under the front of the car and let the lower engine cradle rest on it.
I took the double 2x10 and let the lower trailing arm (where the shocks bolt on) rest on it.
My son and I were able to lower the car from the lift onto this setup and push it out of the way so we could upgrade his sway bars on his Mazda6 (Christmas present)...
Total cost of the project about $38...

i might be buying up all these bodies, so anyone who is cutting them up and putting them into trashcans like LART let me know first... i'll consider any porsche 924, 944 early/late, 968 etc. no more slicing cars into trash cans. what a waste.

4 small furniture dollies from HF is working for me until I start work on the transfer process. Much easier getting the shell off the trailer and moving in the garage than getting it on the trailer.

I took 2 furniture dollies, zip tied landscaping timbers on top (one left, one right, running length of car) and put the car on top. Worked fine, except for the casters tripping over stray gravel in the drive. Worked until my brother ran into the shell with our tractor while plowing... then a few casters broke.
