6 years and 45,000 of the 145,000 miles on it are shared with a strong heart for this burgundy machine I will love her forever <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />
Right now our garage is home to our 2 month old red 1987 928 S4. She's a real beauty and also takes my heart too
No women at this time though do it but at least the Porsches do!!!!

Just a little over 5 years... the '83 was my first car Purchased her out of a barn with no records... ended up calling one of the hundred or so previous owners (seriously though - over 12!) and got a bit of background from him. Other than that, we don't talk about her past!
Have only owned the 85.5 for a year now. Only had two PO's, and I've talked to both of them at length... what a difference vehicle history makes!

Right at 2 years with the '94 968, and about 15K miles. Six months Porsche-less before that, after selling the '88na that I'd had for 6 years & put 55K on.
Didn't finance either one, so both were "mine" from day one; both became more so as I wrenched on them... I think that may be the true test of ownership. Do you DIY as much of the wrenching as your skills, time, and facilities allow? If you haven't changed a thermostat, do you _really_ own your car ?
Jim, still smilin' every drive... <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />

Three months! I guess I'm the newbie huh? Three months, and nothing but problem after problem after problem. All small problems, but so far it looks like I'm going to be nickel and dimed to death. Someone please reassure me that it does get better? It was between a mid-90's Toyota Supra TT, or a late 80's 951. The 951 won on affordability. My bank account likes the $200 payments much better than $400 payments. I was also considering a 928S4 for a long time, but the upgradability of the 951 won me over. What can I say? I'm a sucker for upgrades. Plus finding a 5 speed 928 is near impossible.

13 months and about 15,000 miles. Not to mention another $3800 to 4000 over the purchase price for T-Belt, Waterpump, T-stat, all hoses, all belts all filters including K&N, engine mounts, clutch, rear brakes. But amazingly, I still really like this car.
