If I could find a reasonable set of cup II's I would in a heartbeat.

Don't get me wrong...I do like the D-90's...they look good on the car.

But I really like Cup II wheels.

I have a set of 968 wheels in the garage...may mount them over the summer and see what they look like...but I would still like a set of Cup II's.

I believe Clubsports were only offered on the Turbo S.

My old Cup2's were factory Porsche, 55mm offset front and rear. They could have been moved out with a spacer for aesthetics, but never did that. If I hadn't gotten such a deal on them a long time ago, I would have gotten the Cup 1s which I favor on the 944.

Cheers,

The front engined cup 2's as fitted to the 968 were a half inch wider (7.5) rather than 7 as fitted to the 993. You'll get a tad more push, if you, well, push it. Spacers would help that a tad.

Does this help...or only add confusion?

Thanks WHAM. Are those oe 993 hoops? et55? 7's and 9's? Looks great and I think with a teensy spacer would be perfect.

Very helpful actually... thanks! I almost forgot about Fuchs and phone dials for this car. If the pd's came in 17 x 9 and x 7 this would be an even tougher choice for me. Love that look for some reason!

I can say that I'm not into the 18" look for these cars... no offense to those running that setup I hope. Its too much wheel/not enough tire for my taste on this size car.

Are you guys running spacers on this one I see on your 'site CPR?

You can't do fuchs on an S2, Kie. The only year the Turbo/S2 body could do fuchs was 86 because it was still early offset.

Yep, oe 993 hoops, 7's and 9's. And yes teensy spacers though I don't think mine are that teensy.

21mm
28mm

The 28's may be just a hair wide. VERY occasionally I will get a small rub. This only happens at hard acceleration (ie back end squatting) in a turn, non-track. This has happened less than a handful of times but I rarely drive her that hard even though it's alot of fun.

Take some pics once you get'er done. Welcome back to the cool club, water cooled that is. One of these days (and it's getting closer) I will join you and the air cooled guys. The 95' 993 may be my favorite car ever...of course with the exception of the one in my garage.

So does this mean you are going to sell your replicas that are on the car?
