Default Considering parting my 1987 944S

So I'm considering parting my 1987 944S....just wondering what guys are getting recently for parting these cars...

I would part due to body damage and rust....Engine runs awesome (178,000mi.) , transmission is great (turbo trans) (120,000mi) and suspension is perfect too (<20,000mi). What's the going rate for the 16V heads complete (cams, lifters, tensioner..). Would I get more for the complete engine (lower balance shaft front seal only leaking)....or the individual components? I also have other parts sitting around that I'll be selling, depending on whether or not I part the car (turbo rear valance, 16" phone dials, mint sunroof...etc.)

I sold a complete 944S head with cams and tensioner for $950 a couple of months ago. Pricing seems pretty stable on the complete 'S' head between $900 and $1200 from what I've seen in the past year. The correct 'S' transmission is somewhat of a rarity as well and I've seen them go between $450 and $650. With a little time and patience you should come out ahead parting out a rough 'S'. But if the body is nice, that changes everything as the '87 and '88 S cars fetch an almost shockingly high price on eBay.

unfortunately the body condition is why I may part it...

It's got lots of nice parts (Kon'is, Bilstein's, 951 transmission...etc.), I'm just trying to get a feel for how good things are going to sell. How quick do the 16V heads sell? Anyone interested?

I'd buy the carpet set.

I'd think...piece by piece for the engine = more $. Its also = more time.

Post up some pics of the car!

If I do part it I will post some pictures and videos of the car running, because it does run excellent. For the head I'd prob take $900. I'll keep you guys posted, I should know by the end of next week (trying to see what kind of loan I can get for another car.)

If the muffler is in good condition I'd be interested.
