All four brakes are locked up, but no wheels. Timing belt snapped, water pump installed... backwards, power steering pump hoses switched around, shifter is snapped off leaving a sharp edged rod to hold on to while you imagine you're shifting, even though the clutch is on the floor and won't come back up, the brake pedal won't budge, and the gas seems to be disconnected from the throttle cam that was (has long since disappeared).

Improvements, anyone?

Why do you want lawn art? The car is a total waste of effort.

The rust has penetrated entirely through the body. Zero interior. No wheels. Heck... not even the chassis. They have welded two bicycles together and put the rusted 924 shell on top to push it around.

Someone died in my car! Dont believe in that voodoo crap, they couldnt drive, their fault! I can drive, had the car for years, no crashes, no "car tried to kill me" days. Unless you count its attacks on my pocketbook...

I can believe a "nothing special" but working and perfectly well maintained 924 going for free to a good home -- particularly if the the PO wanted to see it driven rather than sent to the wreckers.

LOL. Leaving now...will update later.

All I know is that he has the title and that it's been in his garage for the past 10 years since he brought it up from SC. He got involved in other things, life got busy, never got around to giving it attention. Spare engine, wheels, body panels, glass, boxes of parts from a parts car all included. It ran when parked. Ex Formula Ford racer (appreciates cars), wants the garage space back.

If nothing else, I am hoping it might be a good donor for a local tech school project.

I may have missed something, but what year/model? I had a friend with an 88 924S, needed work, blue/beige that sat in SC for a while and a guy from NY came and got it. Same car?

There is a red on black 924 local to me that I have been meaning to stop off and ask about... I havn't seen it move since I noticed it 3 yrs ago... Elderly couple, I am sure there is some sort of emotional connection as it just sits there not moving, while they keep up well with the rest of their property...

Hmm, 951 is well sorted now... hasn't needed more than an oil change in weeks now... Get the N/A back on the road full time, and maybe take a stroll over to ask about it... looks OK from 100 feet or so..but then these cars have a funny way of looking worse the closer you get...

924 could be a nice addition to the stable...

Good luck with the FREE car, worst you could get would be a loss of the time to go and get it...
