passenger window out of tracks
I just picked up my '87 944S from the detail shop, rolled the windows down and drove away. When I tried to put them back up, the passenger's window came up crooked and I can't get it straight just by pulling on it. Presumably the detailer's soap <img src="graemlins/soapbox.gif" border="0" alt="[soapbox]" /> got on the rollers and let the thing get out of alignment.
The Rennlist archives have lots on scissor mechanisms, but I don't think that's the problem here. The window is currently half way up and will move down with no problem but binds near the top when it is raised.
Anybody else had this problem and know a fix?
Thanks

My guess is it is related to the scissors mechanism failing at the joints or little roller wheels which are captive in tracks or something just happened to come unscrewed. There isn't much adjusting to be done once the window side tracks are set up correctly from the factory.
There is a track on the bottom of the window, I bet one of the roller wheels wore out and jumped out of it.

A friend of mine has this same problem couple of days ago with his '90 S2.Just remove inside door panel and after that protective plastic film.If you have electric windows loosen a little bit mechanicsm bolts. If i can rember correctly there's 6 10mm bolts. After that you have more room to but the window back to front and rear rails.
