Looks nice. How did it get THAT dirty in those places?
Did you prep it in some way?

This stuff is FREAKISHLY COOL!!

Tonight I started on the door cards and needed more paint, picked up some black while I was there.

Figured since my carpet is trashed anyway I may as well test it out on the carpet. I am TOTALLY surprised. Spraying the tan carpet black was super easy and it looks like it came that way. Feel like I'm in the twilight zone. It really seems to work well.

Since I planned on replacing the carpet anyway I may as well do it all black and see how it really works. So far it looks like it will hold up fine.

I have only had the car for a few weeks so I can't really tell you how. The car was dirty, but honestly since it was an Arizona car I think it is mostly sun burnt.

I scrubbed everything down with basic dish soap and water to prep it.

Okay, so now I'm up to about $37 in paint.

Picked up some of the black and tired it on the carpet since my carpet was TRASHED anyway. This stuff is amazing.

Here is another before picture.

And how it sits now after a couple of hours of paint.

looks good. Id suggest popping out the dash bezzle/vent area, and going over it in another coat or 2 of black, you can see a red hue to it. good call on ditching that red anyway

It's probably just reflection off the hood, since the hood is open and the car is red.

As long as we are on the topic.

I picked up the car when an opportunity came up. Was not really ready to do one of my "normal" projects on it yet. So I figured I would just clean it up a bit and drive it until I am ready to do what I normally do....(which is complete and total overkill).

So the current plan was to just get it clean enough to drive around. So here is where it started a month ago.

Notice the sweet speakers, the nice chew stains on the carpet, the red dash, etc.

Sweet 80s 300ZX seats. I can't even begin to tell you how heavy these are. I'm 6'2" and 240lbs and they were hard to lift out to the trash.

I picked up a set of Scorpion seats down at checker. These are the cheap seats ($350 total). So we will see how they work out. Had to do minor fab to get them to fit. (welding, etc)

$40 in interior paint.
$20 for a new instrument surround on ebay.
---JVC stereo FREE, left over from another project.
Supposed to pick up a used 3 spoke leather Momo from a guy today for $75
-Simpson harness left over from my other race car, so free.
$10 for a new shift boot from Advanced Auto. (black with red stitching)

Here is how it sits as of today.

....and one more simply because I uploaded it already and this post would be worthless without pictures.
