Default Clunking from the rear

What would cause a clunking in the rear of the car? Its not all the time. I heard it only once today on the way to work? Would it be a CV or something else.

Just for fun check your spare tire to make sure it is in there tight. Every once in a while I would hear a clunk from the rear. Than one day I had a flat tire and I went to get the jack out and found the loose tire. Now that it is tight no more clunk.

I had an occasional clunk, turned out it was a loose sway bar.

Could be caused by a dodgy transmission mount: https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turb...ion-mount.html

I've got a similar problem - occurs during cornering, 1 clunk or 2, only repeats when cornering the other direction - ie probably something taking a set. I've just urethane-filled a standard mount, to be fitted this w/end.

Cheers,
Mike
