Hey guys, I'm heading to my first trackday in FOREVER in the 944 this Sunday August 2nd. It will likely be my last as well, as I will be selling the car soon.

The event is with Speed Ventures, a fun group that offers low event costs, no membership fees, and a wide range of skill levels to run with. The cost to run on Sunday with no instruction or timing is $150. Here's a link to their event page, I'd suggest registering online if you want to come:

As I said, I'll be there in my 944. Likely its farewell voyage to the track. I'll also be running a session or two in the car I'll be racing in 2 weeks at the Buttonwillow LeMons race, the Geo Metro Gnome:

It should be fun to compare my 944 to the Geo, and then the other LeMons cars' lap times 2 weeks later. Post up here if you can make it!

Also, I thought I remember some talk on here about a group of 968s going to the Irvine Cars & Coffee meet on Saturday Aug 1st. I think I may try to head over for that too. So maybe see some of you guys there.

Every Saturday morning (except Aug 15th due to the Monterrey Historics) from 7 till about 9am at the Ford/Mazda Design Center near the Irvine Spectrum.
