THIS GTG HAS BEEN CANCEL'D D/T LACK OF INTEREST

Not sure if it's the economy (we sure do have a ton of cars for sale going cheap lately) or what but I just can't see having this with as little interest as has been shown. Would have been nice to see everybody but alas I guess it just wasn't in the cards for this year.

Well now that I'm officially "Back" (insert The Color of Money reference), I thought of no better way of catching up with the old crowd than hosting another SW Michigan GTG @ Warren Dunes State Park in Sawyer, MI. LINK -> http://www.michigan.org/Property/Detail.aspx?p=g13079

As you can tell if you map quest Sawyer, MI it is less than a 2 hour drive from Chicago so we've had several from Chitown come in the past (Ron

Without being boisterous Warren Dunes is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Midwest. It's very large, tons of parking, great trails to do hiking on and well the scenery is incredible. It's a great place to take pics of the 944's and well... other things too :-)

DATE: September 19th
TIME: 1:00 till whenever
PLACE: Warren Dunes State Park in Sawyer, MI
ITINERARY: We meet, gawk at each others cars, sit (bring lawn/camping chairs), drink beverages (bring cooler... no alcohol d/t State Park regs though

), walk around the beach etc.
FOOD: In the past we have combined a nice spirited run through the gorgeous back country roads of SW Michigan to New Buffalo, MI to the worlds famous Redamak's Hamburger joint. An absolutely incredible burger! Link -> http://www.redamaks.com/site/index.htm

It would be great to get the old crowd back together (you know who you are) and of course new ones. There are so many new people on here I'm pretty excited to see how many new people will show up this year.

If there are any that want to make a day trip of it, my house is approximately 20 mins from the Dunes and you are welcome to stay over... wife will be out of town all weekend :-) I have enough room for literally as many that want to come... read post party

If you are interested please do the usual and respond so I can get a working headcount.

Wish I could make that (not a far drive from school) but my gf's birthday is the 21st so I'll be unavailable that weekend.

Great choice of day - it would have been Ferry Porsche's 100th birthday on September 19, if you didn't already know.

The Porsche Club of New Zealand organise a "Drive Your Porsche Day" run every year to commemorate his birthday, and this year it's not far from where I live. Should be good!
