Default RS3 Chronicles: The Maiden Voyage......a bust.

Well guys. I'll tell you this. I don't think I can sell this car. It is simply OUTSTANDING. Fast, stable, confidence inspiring...awesome.

Running with Chin Motorsports is not what I expected. I am pretty frustrated and rather disappointed to go into specifics right now. Simply put - I got hosed.

Communication errors, coupled with an absurd group scheduling and down pouring T-storm. I only got to run the car for 9 laps this morning during warmup and less than one, only to be black flagged for noise violation (they ran the group during quiet time.....who does that?)

Any way...I love this car. I'll post the one vid I could take (Me getting a black flag.) As soon as it is donw uploading to YouTube.

I need a beer.

well at least the car didn't blow up! That is how I rate the success of my 944 DEs.

For example VIR-S....I drove there. I drove home. The brakes almost caught on fire. So I get a 9/10 for that weekend.

I wondered what you would think once you got a chance to drive it in anger on the track............

These cars can make heroes out of average drivers. Glad you had fun~!

How could such sweet music be a "noise violation"?

Glad you had fun.

IIRC RA has to have 2-3 hours of quite time on Sunday morning. Every club that I've run with there has to deal with it (Chin, PCA, BMW, etc), and for NASA that means no race groups from 9 am till after the lunch break.

Yep...most groups have early lunch and mandatory classroom session for the novices. Chin is not a bad group to run with overall. It is a bit of a HP fest, but good people all around.

I REALLY like the early morning warmup session they have. 30min session, full course yellow, no passing, work on your line and test the car. Great idea that I think more groups should do.

Overall - Sunday was THE most expensive day I have ever had at Road Atlanta. 15 total laps (most under yellow) for $300+. As for "Quiet Time" - another ridiculous Georgia rule/law. Not only can I not buy beer on Sunday, but I can't run my car either because Billy Bob and his sister/wife can't hear church. Sorry.....LAME.

Next time I'll run full throttle up and down Braselton highway during quiet time to prove a point.

We'll see. I was gone all weekend attending to motorsports related stuff. Saturday for Lemons prep and yesterday to run the RS3. My little girl told me last night..."she did not want to go to school Monday because she wanted to spend time with her daddy." Broke my heart.

We'll see. If it sells, it sells. In the meantime, I'll enjoy it while I can. Some things in life are more important than a car. Simple as that.

i got the same line from my little princess after two days at high plains. fortunately the track is 1.5 hours from the house so it was daylight when i got home sunday.

trying to make up for the lost time i sat next to her to cuddle her while she watched TV and find out about her weekend.

when i asked, i was told she had not seen this hanna montana, and i was blocking her view.

broke my heart. YMMV.
