How do you attach the side mirror?

Default How do you attach the side mirror?

My glass on the passenger side mirror fell of and shattered. I bought a replacement but cant figure out how to secure the glass to the frame, any ideas?

the mirror glass is glued onto a plastic backing plate which has electrical contacts on the back of it. the whole plastic/glass assembly snaps into the motorized part with iirc 3 button clips

pretty easy to swap out the whole thing. or as larry said epoxy

Doug,

There is a special glue just for mirrors because they are non-porous. It is called Mirror Mastic.

I used an outdoor grade Scotch product. It was kind of like a double sided foam tape, very similar to the original material that lost grip.

The picture on the package showed it being used to stick street numbers to a house.

my glass came with 2 peices of double stick tape and hasnt fallen off
