The owner of the local Porsche shop has a junk 944 graveyard...I just snagged a couple off one of them. You could probably find them online somewhere too

So bascically you just switch euro model drivinglight on. US models driving light is here a brakelight. US models brakelight is here in europe rear foglight.

Where did you guys get the extra plastic socket piece to put a bulb in the open spot on the metal grounding panel?
That's a VW unit Golf (Rabbit I to you) used the same socket. Also late rear engined Transporters had it. You should get those from local VW parts store for few Cents each.

yours looks like a real euro bumper to me... looks nice, need more pics of it from all angles in its current condition (your gallery has old pics)
Looks like a euro bumper without the rubber stripe.

It is a Gt-racing bumper, wish it was a euro. I've seen a euro unit without the strip and wanted to steal it.

Yes I did, used two slotted L brackets on each side so its adjustable. I'd like to find a real euro smooth bumper as I'm afraid of being rear-ended with this set up.

Real Euro bumper does not give you any additional value. It's just mixture of fibreglass and plastic.
My "collection" of Euro bumbers:
