Actually air bag system is very simple. Only two sensors (inside dash) & computer and own wiring harness, wouldn't be too difficult to get it work.

Really? I herd it was very, very complicated. Lol.

luftpirate - Funny, because I love tearing interiors apart. Lol. Yes, I somehow managed to be patient. Lol.
Thanks. I'll keep an eye out for the PM.

Interesting, so you kept the cable? Did you think about swapping in the sensor in the late transmission and wiring that up? Any thoughts about which is easier/more expensive?

Yes, I have kept the cable. I did think about swapping in the sensor in from the late transmission, but I wasn't able to get enough information on how the whole things works, etc. The sensor is defiantly, defiantly cheaper. I'm going to use the Cable X (is called something like that), but it was about $300... which I'd rather not spend. Lol. I'd love to use the sensor, but I just don't know enough about it. Anybody want to help out? Lol.

But I am for sure checking out that sensor. I'm curious if it would just plug right in onto the transmission?

hmm...I think i read somewhere here that the sensor and wheel bolt right in to the early transmissions, but I may be mistaken. I'll look tomorrow and see if I can't dig up that post where I read it.

Also, I got the PM and I'll get back to you as soon as I can on that. Thanks!

Ha. Well, hmm... honestly I don't know. Nothing was to hardcore. It was just all time consuming. But if I had to do it again, I'd be done in half the time. It's just knowing what to do, and having the right tools. If I had to say the hardest part, I guess it would be switching out the steering columns. Porsche put sheered bolts on the column so the bolts had to be drilled out. Other than that, electric work is all just adapting the new switches onto your car. Now, I haven't done the A/C. I didn't do it for two reason: One, I never drive the car if it's that hot anyway, two, I really wanted to drive my car. Adding A/C would have been much much longer. Lol. I also don't have the knowledge on how to have it done properly. But that will be done, just by a professional. Lol.

Omg, I think I'm in love with you. Haha. I've looked for days and couldn't find any information on it. Lol. But thats sweet! So basically there is already a whole and everything? Now I'm not a engine, transmission person by all means. Ha. I have no idea where it is located at. Lol. Like what is the final drive gear? And all that jazz? Lol.

Your dash redo looks great. It looks so great that it make one thing really stand out in the picture. Take the left end cap off and unscrew the vent, and give it a good soap soak. I used a child's tooth brush to clean the vents and then went back and used a hand wash cloth on the end of the tooth brush to wipe it down good. It will look as great as the rest of your dash. You can be very proud of the work you accomplished on your dash.

Cheers,
Larry

No problem - I've spent some time looking into this, coming from a slightly different direction - I don't really want to do the interior swap but I would like to swap in 951 brakes (which requires 951 spindles, which aren't compatible with the 924S speedo cable). It certainly seems pretty straightforward from that link, but I'd like to talk to someone who actually did the conversion to an electronic speedo before actually diving in.
