UPDATE! my cars status
ok so i have everything fixed now
Fuel pump
bellhousing
timing belt job and balance shaft belt job
starter
powersteering pump
now im down to no spark. ive checked for spark and this is how it goes. have plug in wire and grounded out. (someone watching for spark) i put the key in and when i stop just before it turns over there is spark but once i start cranking the engine i get nothing.
what could my possible issues be? reference sensors? bad fuse? ECU?
TIA
mike

As you turn to start position look to see if the TACH Needle bounces. No TACH bounce means the Speed Sensor is either bad or the connection is bad. Is the rotor on tight? The set screw can back out letting the rotor free to move around not making proper contact inside distributor cap.

Im just the opposite. My car has no injector fire, but does have spark. Can't figure it out.
For you it sounds like the reference sensor. Check to see that the tach bounces a little.

Yours is likely a coil, depending where you're checking. If you're using a pulled spark plug, your rotor could have come loose. Check on the coil output wire to ground. If no spark, then disconnect the coil primary wires and hook a 12v light bulb across them. The light should visibly flash if the coil is getting juice. If it does, you've got a bad coil.

try disconnecting and reconnecting the speed and reference sensors. I was having a no start issue and used this link: http://benms.com/944nostart.html. Had the telltale no tach bounce, disconnected and reconnected the sensors. Voila. Fired right up.
You might also check the fuel pump fuse and DME relay.

ive unplugged my sensors and checked them out with a ohm meter. they work fine. im down to either the plate in the bell housing being off (my bellhousing shifted due to bolts backing out may have dislodged the sensor pad) or i have a bad fuse somewhere. but i do have no tach bounce

If you do have no tach bounce the sensors are not adjusted right because I was on the phone with you when you checked them so you had to have done that right. You have to take them out and turn the motor over by hand and see if the little allen is still in the pressure plate and hasn't been knocked out.

ummm not the starter this time the sensors you cant really see the allen from the starter. So it's different take out the reference senors because i'm taken a stab at it being sheared off by the bellhousing in the twisting of it....you up to speed ?

Sorry, I didn't read your post right. Has the car been sitting a long time? (Over a year) I had to feed direct battery power to my injectors, using small probes to the injector power pins, pulsing it over and over, to break them free after a long time sitting. It took maybe 20 - 30 pulses before they broke free and clicked.
