Thinking of selling everything....
I have my 87 944 Turbo with spun bearing on ebay $(4500) for those who care...
but I have a lot of extras and a guy is coming by this weekend (I hope) to buy the whole lot.
here is what I have listed.
What do you think is a fair price for it all in one lot?
I am either selling it all or nothing. I need to pay an important bill. (I also have a 71 cutlass convertible up there too)...
1987 Porsche 944 Turbo.
57K miles.
Been stored since purchased from Mercedes Ben. I got into financial trouble shortly after purchasing the car and it hasn't been touched. Car has been in storage for a number of years.
54K miles.
Previous owner spun a crankshaft bearing and parked the car.
Lots of new uninstalled parts to freshen up the car.
Needs Crank shaft bearings.
Comes with spare crank, bearings, gaskets etc.
Nice Turbo Twist wheels!
Motor, exhaust, transmission already removed!
A little paint, new bearings installed and elbow grease to put the motor back in and you
will have a SWEET ride!
Once work is completed car should sell for at least 10K.
Hood got scratched upon removal and is primer.
Engine already out of car and ready to have crank replaced.
Front valence is faded.
some rock chips but no dents or dings!
Hood, gas cap, and valence need to be painted.
Stone guards removed and the rest of the body needs to be buffed to excellent shine!
Small crack on dash previously repaired.
Good interior.
The pictures don't do the paint justice. Used a cell phone camera and the paint looks odd but is Guards Red and Shines when the dust is knocked off!
Check all the spares that could be included for the right price...

If you can get $4500 I would say go for it! 944 turbo parts aren't going for near what they used to. There was a good turbo trans that didn't sell on ebay for $350. I just bought a running complete turbo motor off ebay for $785.

I assume that you're listing the car locally, as well? If not, you should try Kijiji and Craigslist, at the very least. You'll get a lot of time wasters (I've been known to be one of these) but I have bought two 944s which needed work from Kijiji...
I think it's that I really feel as though I'm getting a deal, no matter the price. On the other hand, the competition of eBay always makes me feel as though I'm paying a "fair" price, which is obviously not how I want to feel when I'm buying a limping or non-running old Porsche.
Good luck with the sale, and sorry to hear you can't keep it. It really does look like a very nice car.
