I would look at a twin screw if starting from scratch.

Even a high helix roots style does not compare in efficiency.

roots type superchargers can never get ot more than like 60% efficient. twin screws are in the 70-80% efficiency range.

if u got the money, go twinscrew!

Research the types of SC's - roots, twin screw, centrifugal. The SFR kit is centrifugal, which to me seems kind of redundant when you could get a similar power band from a 951.

Colin, as you are in Scotland why don't you go to the PCGB forum. Go into the 944 area and look up Peter Empson. http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tt...mode=1&smode=1

I'm pretty sure he has put together something along the lines of what you're after. I think it was with parts he bought from 9ff?
He's a nice guy who I'm sure would offer advice. Tell him I sent you.
