Depends if the frame structure is bent. Even if not that's a lot of coin for what it will need $$$.

The frame is most likely pushed back and crumpled. That is how my 944S looked but the frame was ****.

I would not necessarily pay $5900 for that but if you were to pick it up for maybe $3k....I think you'd have a helluva car after said frame rack and some body work....heck...it's the *** end that is hard to fix...and that's about perfect on this car.

The rest of the car looks to be in damn fine shape !

How about as a track car? Too pricey though.

I think its highly likely that the front chassis rail has been bent or distorted, certainly the caster and camber will be out and likely the steering rack alignment, tracking and front wishbone alignment . The fact that it drives is irrelevant.
I would cost out the work carefully before taking that on.

i doubt that caster and camber have been effected. If youve ever seen one of these apart, the crumple zone is just ahead of all the suspension compontents. Besides that, most of the damage is in the front soft metal support that surrounds the headlight, so besides lining up the front panels, i doubt this needs much.

I've worked on enough accident damaged cars to know what the score is and I'd be very surprised if the steering geometry hadn't been effected

lets face it a sensible man would factor that cost in by alllowing a provisional sum .
A less sensible person would expect the best , pay over the odds and end up over budget or fudging the repairs by pulling the chassis about on a rack for an hour
