Group Buy (CLOSED): Stage 8 locking CV bolts, Round 2

I have encountered an issue, which does not seem related to the Stage 8 bolts, but because I am using them I'll post the situation. First the app. It is a 968 chassis, with a turbo 5 speed and GKN turbo axles.
The problem.
The bolts on the wheel side protrude through the stub axle and interfere (rub) against the housing of the banana arm. I made sure to put the half moon plates on and the interference only happens when I start snugging the bolts. My solution is to put locking washers ( they're nice and thick) under the bolts.
First, has anyone encountered this issue, and second can anyone see an issue with the lock washers. BTW this is not an academic exercise as the motor is + 400 hp and equal that on torque.
All input appreciated.

Jim, I had the same problem with my setup (968 trans in 951). I simply used a some washers to space the bolts a little bit. I do not expect there to be any issue, and have not had any issue since the install (I was on the initial group buy, so its been a little while now).

That's true and on the 968-6 speed the left shaft is a bit shorter. However in this app, I transplanted the 5 speed with matching axles to the 968 chassis. Oddly enough the interference is on the left side. Although I haven't torqued the right side wheel nut to the max yet. It's possible that the stub axle hasn't fully seated into the bearing yet. Overall it's a matter of a millimeter.

Ideola,
Thanks for bringing these to the community. I've had issues with this in the past with my 951. If you do another group buy I'll get a set for my existing 944 NA track car, just as preventative maintenance. :-P

I probably won't do another group buy until next winter / spring prior to the racing season. However, I can offer a 10% discount on individual orders. If you want the discount, send me a PM with your email address, and I can send out a "custom" paypal invoice with the discounted price.
