89 S2 developed a miss today
Here are the details:
Pulled away from a stoplight and the miss started.
Belt 1500 mile re-tention was done about 400 miles ago. (Could something be related?)
Pulled the plug wires one at a time and the idle raised and actually seemed to smooth out a little when I pulled #3 (strange).
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Shawn

try swapping the plug wire for for cyl 3 with the one for 2 or 4 to see if the miss moves to one of those cylinders.
if nothing, try the same with the plug
if nothing, do a quick compression test on all cylinders.
if nothing, then possibly a injector problem.
if THAT doesnt reveal anything there could be a bad contact in the distributor maybe...
but if its still running on the other 3 cylinders then you can be pretty assured the timing is fine and the ref sensors are working just fine.
