Semi solid I bought for the N/A I had at the fest last year, it is going in (maybe this weekend) to replace the solid one I have had in the car for a little over 2 years...
Have another one on order for my 951...
Solid one is going to a new home as soon as it is off the car, it served me well, but I have been driving the car too much to continue tollerating the noise levels! I hope this replacement lowers the noise to a more tollerable level, otherwise the car will get the dynamat treatment once I start swapping the carpet out in the coming weeks...

Scott, glad to se it coming along. I thought it was a spring, since there was no smoke when it was running.

Shawn - yes it was a spring. I just picked the head up at my engine shop.
Aside from the new spring(s), I had the head checked out and serviced. There was a valve grind and a surface cleanup.
Should have things back together in a few weeks. Will update as time permits.

Photo update:
Head is repaired.
Head is on.
Belts are on and properly timed.
Will double confirm this by cranking the engine sans plugs and no fuel.
Must confirm belt tension as well.
Still need to service the injectors and clean things before putting it all back together and firing it up.

More shots from the weekend:
Lots of fitting and fiddling to get things right. Intentionally going slow to be sure each step is taken in the proper sequence.
One mistake that was made - I put the rear cam bridge on before putting the head on. Not only did it make putting the head on the block very difficult, but it made tightening the rear head nuts impossible. Should have remembered this from the removal process. DOH!

Scott, might I suggest the way I do it after a belt change (or deeper work) roll teh motor BY HAND a full 2 revolutions?
I do it by hand, with plugs out to ensure there is no binding of any of the valves, or anything else that the starter motor with thrash in the process of cranking!
Other than that, lookin good!
OH, and as far as the semi solid mount goes... it is a dream compared to the solid mount, and with almost 2500 miles since replacement have yet to have any issues with it!
