Default Putting late fusebox in early car

Anyone done this before? Its too hard to fit under the dash with big hands. I'd imagine it'd be a pretty straightforward swap, pulling the relay/fuse wires out through the firewall and running them to the DS cowl...

Wow, this may be the worst idea I have ever heard of.

It puts "I want to turbo my NA." to shame.

Holy crap that would be a huge job. I would say not worth all the rewiring.

For that kind of effort, I would rewire and modernize the entire electrical, and make it bling bling "while I'm at it"
Only attempt it if the electrical had burned, or building some kind of custom car/show car/ or maybe a racecar (minus the bling part)

Think it'd be that much? Or is it because of the different connections in the late fusebox? Maybe just relocate the early box to a more accessible place?

i would think it'd be huge. cause wiring harnesses would have to be rerouted and everything
. the wires might not even fit. maybe have to get late harness

You F up your wiring harness, lose track of wires, cross wire something and start a fire. First couple things that come to mind.

The early fuse box setup is pretty bogus. Instead of changing to the later style, it would be much easier to install a new style generic fuse box - something from Painless Wiring maybe? It would be possible to have the newer style (blade) fuses.

Instead of relocating it you could just make it a drop down style where you have a latch and it can swing down so you can get to it.

Basically, you would have to extend each wire to the new fuse panel - not easy but not overwhelmingly difficult either. Just a bunch of jumper wires really. Use uninsulated solderless connectors and cover every connection with heat shrink.
