Did you try replacing the relay? Also, the FP is on the O2 sensor circuit, so check that fuse as well...

The DME relay is inside of the fuse box under the hood. The diagram is under the fuse box cover.

Your original post didn't have many details (like the model year).

Anyway, I'm pretty sure your 84 would have a fuse panel setup similar to my 83. If so the fuse panel (or panels) is under the dash on the drivers side. On mine the DME/Fuel pump relay is plugged in at the top of the main fuse panel.

So, there's one relay called a DME/Fuel Pump relay at the main fuse panel.

The DME is the ECU and on my car it's right near the steering column.

From your posts I'm not clear if you changed the relay (cheap) or the entire DME (not cheap). It's common for the relay to go bad and it's a good idea to carry a spare.

One more thing - check out Clarks Garage. Lot's of info.

found it! i stupidly pulled all of the wires from the rear of the car while prepping for paint, turns out that the ground for the fuel pump is on the tail light wiring harness.

so i put the groung back down, and viola!

thx for the input tho--- i did check clarks and bypassed the alarm system and checked the dme
