I owned an NA for about 6-7 years and now the 951 for about the same amount of time. I can attest that NA is NA, regardless of the motor and that means a lot of time, effort and money to make even 20 more hp. Compared to forced induction motors, which can pick up 20hp just by blinking.

Also, as it bears on this thread, my mechanic was bored back in the day and for fun he bored out a stock TB and put it on my NA. I didn't notice at all.

From a performance only perspective, I personally will only own forced induction. The cost and effort comparison for increased hp is night and day from NA to forced induction motor, 944 or any other car.

Of course in a track setting a stock NA with a great driver will dust a highly modded 951 with a novice driver all day long.

Sorry I missed the note about the ported head, etc. I hope it works out well for you. Do you plan to dyno it?
