If you are talking about the Wilk chip...it's definitely worth it. Given there arent many options for a NA...this is about it.

I did install a throttle cam today....great 1-2 improvement. I waited so I could gauge the chip improvement on its own. Still really impressed...

yeah but it appears it's not going to be a "drop in" into the early car

so can someone make a short parts list of what I'd need in order to use one of these chips? and I mean like a complete list, not just "this and maybe this"

All you need is an AFM and DME. Its a fairly nice upgrade even without a chip. The updated DMEs are slightly different but it is a direct swap.

It's a bargain if you ask me
Someone could probably organize a group buy and you could get it for less. Has anyone tested this yet?

That's not a bad idea, I might be interested is the price dropped some... it just doesnt make sense to me spending close to $700 on a maf and chip without any idea how much benefit it will actually have.

IIRC early 944s can be chipped I just cracked my open today becUse of this thread and I have auto thority chip in it. It is actually like a conversion kit really .Some early cars DMEs have the pockets in them already so you can plug in play. Go to the wilks website click Tech pages at the bottom and choose Can I chip my 944 and it will tell you everything so Roman944 read that crack open your DME and see if yours is the pocketed one. Mine is maybe yours in too. I'll put a picture up soon of mine. I've driven several early and late 944 N/As and mine is by far faster and has more torque. Now I know why

I was wondering that as well... I assume the race chips, but I'm not sure.
