Default Think I messed up front struts

I just read on another thread that 86 951 struts wont fit my S2.

So I have 86 turbo strut housings assembled with Koni inserts and weltmeister 200# springs that I was planning on putting on my S2 Cab.

I know I can I mod my existing strut housings for the inserts but I remember reading that the springs won't fit because the cab's had slightly conical springs. Is the the case?

Is there a way that I can make the parts I have work?

If not I guess I want to buy some 87+ 951 strut housings to install my inserts and springs into hopefully cheap. anyone?

Thanks
Mark

You can put the full strut assembly from the turbo into the S2 as is. You will not be able to fit the turbo spring into the S2 strut though as the S2 strut takes smaller diameter springs. The S2 strut is the same as Turbo S and 968 struts.

I think I am ok. I just measured the distance between the holes and based on the information in the link that DarrenD sent me looks like it will fit.

I do have the entire strut assembly from the turbo.

Thanks for the info I will sleep better tonight
