It really isn't as bad as I thought. I guess I was used to my other game so this felt different. I do think it is a great game. I just wish Porsche was in it and that you can rotate the camera around the car.

While I agree Forza is a better game, Micro$oft wont allow the G25/27 Logitech wheels because they compete with their piece of junk xbox wheel with no clutch or H pattern shifter, bad force feedback, and flimsy build quality. I want to use my playseats cockpit & G25 set up, but have to use the standard controller to play Forza. What a bunch of bull. G25 is flawless with games that are not as fun like GT5 as well as winners like NFS Shift.

They patched it and fixed all of the small issues with the game like menu music and some glitchy menu things. I still like the game a lot and I think the physics are more enjoyable than in forza.

Anybody remember the CTR2 from GT3? It could clip like 1000 hp and was a TOTAL BEAST! I built one of those and an equally mean Lotus Esprit for long races on the test track with my friend that had no real driving skills. Those cars were fast.
I was dissapointed when 4 came out because the top power levels went WAAAAAAY down, and some cars you couldn't even turbocharge which seemed obtuse. Forza has done that with a few cars, but at least they offer engine swap options.
I just hope the next good racing game lets me get my 944, and drop 346ci Chevy beast in it for fun. Either that, or at least a Cayenne turbo motor. SOMETHING!
As long as I'm talking about it, has anyone noticed that Forza has made the 944 Turbo all but controllable after you get ANY amount of fun power out of it? It's like 350hp and the thing acts like it's riding on ice. And the fact that you can't even put a wing on the back (Which I'd only do for better control) pisses me off to no end, because surrrrre- we can get a splitter, but then nothing helps us in the rear traction dept. for when we want to exit the corkscrew at Laguna to pull away from the jerk in a Lotus behind us... WITHOUT SPINNING OUT!!!
And I've been playing racing sims since the original GT. Pretty sure my driving isn't part of the question.

I'm an Escudo fan. The CTR was awesome (and especially useful for German series races) but you could bounce the Escudo off of EVERYTHING and win 100% of the time. We used it for the endurance races because we couldn't screw it up...
GT4 was a little disappointing unless you had an F1 car, and then could walk over everything. Feast or famine?

I heard that other car companies threatened to pull out of the gaming market b/c EA made a game exclusively for porsche and not them, Ferrari etc.. Don't know if there is much truth to this.
