Default Shift Lever

I just recently changed my shift lever out and it is firm. With almost no slop at all now. I thought for sure after 120,000 miles with the stock shift lever that it would need to be drilled out and do one of the sloppy shift fixes, but it didn't. It weird to drive it knowing what gear your in. It changes driving so much.

Thats the one I bought. It was a knockoff i believe, but it works great and fits good. So if you are looking for a new one and your shift rod isn't in bad shape this may make a world of difference.

I did the same here this spring on my 163k mile car, with the same result. I also changed out my old, hardened shift boot for a new one. Together the difference is unreal.

Do the boot next--you won't believe you drove it like it was for so long.
