Default Lloyd floor mats

Are the Lloyd mats really as good as factory? They claim to be liscensed by Porsche so I would expect them to be really good. Who has orderded them and what did you think?

OK, before anyone says it. I should have done the search first. Give me a break, its early in the morning here. After doing the search it seems most people really like them. If anyone has anything bad to say, or add let me know. I think I will be ordering them today.

Depends. I ordered a set of their Luxe mats for my Grand Cherokee and didn't like them, so I sent them back. I have a full set of their Ultimats in the 951, and they're ok. Personally, I think they're overrated and overpriced. I've never seen the factory mats, so I don't know how they compare. I'm not sure who else makes a decent mat though - I was tempted to try the mats sold by World Upholstery.

I have the factory porsche mats in black. I bought them from Perf Products about two years ago. I like them alot, seem to fit well. I think they have a foam like back if I recall. Only complaint I have is that the mats I had before this (unknown brand) covered the dead pedal as well. The porsche mats do not. I just took a piece of black automotive carpet and velcro'd it on to the dead pedal as I did in the past with the carpet flap on the old mats.

By the time I added the embroidery costs to the lloyds mat they were within $10 of the OEM mats.

I thought the lloyd mats that i bought were to thick and **** like. I prefer the thinner type mats.

Just an FYI. I have newer factory mats and they do not cover the dead pedal. However, the original 944 Mats as well and they do cover the dead pedal. The foam on both is horrid and falls apart.

That foam really bothers me on the factory mats. It gets everywhere! My PCA region requires me to pull the driver's mat out for track use, and I haven't bothered to put it back in because they always twist on me. Maybe when I reinstall my interior after the overhaul, I'll put some posts in like the later Audi/VW floor mats have.

I like the thinner profile of the factory mats myself. The Lloyd ones are cut slightly larger and are significantly thicker. The long, loose pile doesn't match the original short cut pile carpet as well as factory mats either.

I guess I'm a loner. They fit great and I really like the installation ties. They feel nice and plush. I bought mine in Black with Silver edging and silver Turbo.

I ordered the Ultimate. I wonder if some of you that say they are to thick have ordered the Lux version. That looks to be a lot thicker material than the Ulitimate. For the poster who had the burgandy mats, I need black, but thank you anyway. I will let you guys know how good they are when I get them.

I just got a set of Tequipment mats from Pelican (I believe that they're the factory mats) and I think they look great so far. I had an old set of mats that I got with my carpet (make unknown, age is likely 20+ years) and those had the foam disintegration issues another poster mentioned - hopefully these factory mats won't have the same problem!
