Default New shift boot yay/nay?

I picked up a red leather shift boot on ebay and I recovered a spare shifter I had laying around. I figured I'd see what the crowd reaction was.

On a side note the install was really easy even with trimming the excess leather to get the cap to fit.

IMO it does not work. I think if you had a factory Red leather interior it would look good. But what really matters is if you like it.

If you like it keep it if not change it back.

Yea I am trying to break up the interior. It feels a bit 'cave-ish' with the full black.

I am only out $30 if I don't like it.

This question can be answered by age demographics:
If <16yrs of age = like
If >16yrs of age = dislike

Only thing it matches is the wiring hanging out from under the dash.

I'll get back in my cave now

It sticks out too much. You should put some more subtle accents in if you want to break it up.

Any reason for that? Pressure drop should be constant. Unless one day you suck a chicken/stray animal into the turbo and it lodges in the cooler. So really post 'cooler is the only one to monitor. I can see plumbing in a temporary gauge to measure pressure drop for interests sake if developing a new intercooler to measure improvement. But permanently mounting one seems like alot of work, extra vac tubing and clutter to monitor for stray chickens.

The wire is for my install of Euro Fogs (still finishing up), and the intercooler thing is just an experiment.

I have a lot of free time this time of year.

Thanks for the input though.

i think that the red shift boot doesn't match a lot of peoples' tastes, but if you want a lot of focus on the shifting of the shifter then i think you would like to keep it. my opinion on this case falls to the majority: nay.

I think if you had some pieces of the door panel or other trim that matched, it wouldn't be so bad. As it is, it just sticks out so bad that you can't make yourself look at anything else.
