Default 245/45-16 no longer available for street!!

My Fuzion Zris treadwear is getting kinda low in the rears and I see now that the Fuzion Zri and the Toyo T1 are no longer available! I need 245/45-16 in the rear for my 8" rim width, I looked that the Kumho 265/45-16 but they require 8.5" minimum rim width, any suggestions??

Call your local tire store and speak to someone.....just because it is no longer in a search engine on-line does not mean it is NLA.

Fuzion, Continetal are all still being made in 245/45/16 !!!! They are not extinct !!!!!

The reason you can't find them on-line is that it is just no longer profitable for BIGBOX On-Line tire sellers to stock and wearhouse them as they prefer to sell 1000 units in a day....rather then 100 unit in a year.

I run BFG G-Force 245/50/16 an 255/50/16 on early Turbo phones. Have had them for a couple years, don't know if they still offer them.

I didn't use search engines or big box stores. I used the MFG catalogs. Continental does not list 245/45-16s anymore. They MAY still have some in stock, but they are not producing new ones. Believe me, I would love to be proven wrong, so if you can get a Continental rep to chime in and say that Continental is no longer listing them even though they're making them, that would be music to my ears.

Default Ronal wheels on 87 Carrera

Hello, looking for recommendation,

I bought these Ronal wheels from another 911 owner. They use 245/45/16 rear and 225/50/16 front.

The rear wheels look great on my 911. They've got a wide lip and fill out the wheelwell much better than the stock Fuchs that I have for the rear, which only take 225/50/16 tires.

The fronts are another story however - if I were going for the lowrider look with wheels extended beyond the fender lip, they'd be great.

Did the 911 guy sell me wheels for a 944? I just assumed...you know...he had a 911...I have a 911...a fit it should be...

Anyway - if I wanted to mount them - would a change in spacer on the front work? Can I run a 225/50/16 on the front?

The next question is - The Fuchs are classic and I love 'em, but the ones I have are what, 8" front & 9" rear I believe? They're too damn skinny. Can I use my rear rims on the front - and then is there a wider - available stock size - Fuchs for the rear, that actually fills out the fenderwell?

Thoughts appreciated, thanks.

These guys are showing Conti's in stock that fit Club Sports: http://www.blackcircles.com/. Alas, they are in GB. If there's enough interest, perhaps an inquiry could be made as to the feasibility of shipping to the US. I'm not sure if lack of a DOT certification would be a road block.

Thoughts?

edit: Just sent an email, I'll report back upon reply.

Heard back from Black Circles. Sure, they'll sell the tires to us, but will basically do nothing to help along the way except take the money. We'd need to come up with a method of shipment, and some way to get the tires from the warehouse to the shipper. Customs would only be a problem if there's an issue with bringing non-DOT tires into the country. Looks like I'll be sending out more emails...

Before we get too far into this, is there a Canadian Tyre store that still carries these sizes?

Damon???

The Kuhmo 265/45-16 street tires are discontinued. One more nail in the coffin...

I had the same problem when looking for tires for my 90 S2 Cab and went with Firestone Indy 500 in 245 50 16 in the rear and 215 55 16 up front. The car looks fine with the on and They seem to ride better and are bit stickier than the old Comp TA's I had before. The old Dunlaps still had plenty of tread but were about 9 years old

Uhh, you do realize that England is pretty far away, what with the ocean and all, right? And tires are kind of big and heavy. $50 seems about right.
