245/45-16 street tires still made (running list)
Lots of info here and on pelican, but I'm finding that posts even 2 years old are outdated as I start to look to replace the Pirellis on my 951. So I thought I'd put up a running list of 245/45-16s for everyday street use that are still made.
As of June 12, 2012:
Bridgestone Potenza RE-11
Primewell PZ900 (appears to be a Firestone budget or vintage brand)
Toyo Proxes RA1 (DOT approved competition tire)
Unfortunately, that's all I can dig up. Hoping you lot know of some more...
Respond with tires that are still made and I'll add them above. If I can get a summary review of each (1-2 sentences on dry grip, wet drip, feel, and noise), I'll post that as well.
Just as a checklist to self. brands that (to my knowledge) NO LONGER make street tires in this size:
Bridgestone/Firestone
BF Goodrich
Continental
Dunlop
Falken
Goodyear
Hankook
Kumho
Michelin
Pirelli
Yokohama
Previously listed as available, but now discontinued:
Fuzion ZRi
Goodyear Eagle GT
Nexen N3000
Sumitomo HTR-Z
Toyo Proxes T1R (Still available in EU and APAC, but not North America)

From what I've seen, all of these have matching 225s - it's a much more common size. Let me know if I'm wrong and I'll note it next to the specific model that doesn't have a match.
According to their site, you're right. Nexen N3000 added.

245-50-16. sorry about my first post, it was a typo. why do you want 45 profile tires? 50's are fine.

I am getting concerned about this. My Turbo S still runs on the stock Club sport 16" wheels. I have no intention of changing to 17 wheels. To me the club sports give the car is proper character.
So not sure what I will do wo my current ES100 wear down. Good news is that I still have life in them.

Also, 265 is a lot of tire for the stock power output and chassis. I feel like I'd sooner go symmetric 225 F&R...
Ditto, I prefer the look of the club sports and in terms of driving dynamics haven't felt like I wanted less sidewall. I'll run them stock as long as I can, and will only go to 17s grudgingly.
