Have a 90 S2 Cab 68,000 miles. Check closely for chips in windshield and have fixed any small chips as the windshield is cab specific and expensive. Also be careful when putting down the top as you can easily destroy the rear window. I use a large rolled up towel to protect and prevent creasing. als make sure you keep the pins that align the top into the windshield very well greased.

cylinder wall damage (pretty much goes for all these ****boxes).... and signs of heat stress in the overflow reservior.... find out when the belts/pullies/tensioner/H20 pump were done. get as much paperwork on the car as you can. check for how bad the car leaks **** all over... then all the other normal ppi stuff including asking the seller how all the suspension bushings got all swollen with ps fluid and are basically falling off and how much it will cost to correct. ask him why the brake fluid looks like charcoal, etc.....

good luck.

My s2 has a lot of electrical issues

Cruise control, abs light, clock, power mirror, trip odometer reset all failed. Soft top was near new and works like a champ. ac also failed.

Check the clutch inspection hole. Clutch job can be fairly expensive.
