Yes - they're the same. I just put an '88 turbo hatch on an '86 NA. (And I know people with 944 hatches on 924s.)

How about 924 2.0 hatch and 944? I have a 931 hatch (which has not delaminated) was thinking about swapping spoilers and putting it on my 84 944.

You can put a 968 hatch on a 924 if you'd like. I have a hatch from my 951 that's separating if someone wants broken parts!

I seem to have a slight sealing issue at the upper corners with my 968 hatch on my 951...could be the seal, tho.

This, a million times this. Just get a cheap flatblade screwdriver that fits the outer slots on the nut and bust out your dremel.

Easy and cheap!
