I don't mind the concept but that is far too rough to be "neat"
The 924 is a comfortable, rust free place to be. It would be kind of fun having a 4wd one with a little more ground clearance as a dd. Maybe early audi syncro running gear? Think 959 group b.

These ads crack me up.
"project not running, needs body attached and your finishing touches"
Um... yeah, "finishing touches", like finishing 99% of the conversion. It looks like the 924 body was rested on top of a CJ frame. They stepped back, went, "huh, the front wheels don't line up very well". Then gave up because it would require actual fabrication.
Though it does have a D44 rear axle, that's probably the only desirable part in the whole heep.

better having a fun weird car than visiting the 924 in a grave yard.
now i'll click on the link and see.
ok, i went up and had a look.
maybe 100 bucks for the glass and fenders
and let him deal with hauling off the rest of the scrap.

is the body actually attached to the jeep frame? It almost looks like a 924 tub sitting on cinderblocks that are placed on a jeep chassis, in which case it may not be too late to save (assuming he didn't hack up the 924 body to get it on those cinderblocks)

Couldnt help but be reminded of a guy I went to school with...He and his father put a 69 mach I on a bronco frame.....at 16 it seemed like the most awesome thing ever. In the years since Ive seen 4X4 Mustangs in a number of different incarnations.....Cant help but still grin.....but I was never a mustang/ford guy...so I guess I never felt the insulting sting.
This 4X4X24 looks less than half baked.....and missing more than a few ingredients.

^^^pretty neat..buuuuut..... its a waste of a Mach 1. it is pretty creative and i know it took a lot of effort to build so i respect it for that.

the Mach 1 like an old 70's style incarnation of an SUV with a chopped roof.
well maybe that's stretching things.
maybe with like, 31 inch Mickey Thompson Baja Claws it wouldn't look so ridiculous.
