kids and the 944...
i don't know why this is, but my son Grant is always talking about the Porsche.. he even says "Porshuh" which i find admirable, lol. every time he sees one in a book or on t.v. he goes crazy for it, lol. every night i have to lift the cover and he has to sit in my 944... its like heaven to that kid, lol. i don't mind because he's following in dad's footsteps and he's taking an interest in things other than toy trains and hot wheels, lol. anyone else have kids that flock to their car?
he's on the horn like he's driving in NYC, lol:
my daughter Isabelle just relaxes in the back seat. she thinks its comfortable for some strange reason..

I bought my 84 944 after my twin daughters saw a pic of the 79 924 I bought just out of high school. They fell in love and begged for their first car to be a porsche. For the past 4 years they have done 60% of every repair....learning all they can each time something goes wrong. Theyve gotten pretty handy. This year for their birthday Im buying them one of their own.
They'll have a year to work on it before theyre licensed. Ive told them that the first ticket they get and they get downgraded to a geo metro......their swear they will never drive anything but a porsche

I have 5 and 7 yo girls. They have both helped me work on my car while I have been building it. The older one was under the car with me over the weekend changing the transmission fluid. They call it my race car and can't wait until I can drive them to school in it.

Being regulated to a geo for first ticket can be rough. I recieved mine the first day I drove my car. It was a '35 dodge coupe and after high school my friend and I went for a soda. Ticket was for unsafe lane change, crossing median, and illegal passenger ( he was standing on running board ouside of car). Cost of ticket was $45. Times have really changed.

You know if we were smart we would get em hooked on Toyota's. Much cheaper in the long run. The only people whoever liked my back seat were my kids, and in my younger wild days a few 110lbs hot chicks said it was'nt so bad back there. Those were the days. LOL

the back seats are comfy. i can fit with the front seats removed. they hug me really well like the sport buckets up front.
don't have kids, but my now 10yr old cousin loved it. always asked if he could sit in it or go for a ride...which i never said no to.
