is it possible to repair them? i shaped the rod at the end where the two hooks are

I have one with broken tabs on the ends, but good fabric, roll and holder. Not sure what it would cost to ship, but PM me if you're interested.

I assume you meant snapped... meaning the plastic rod at the rear of the cover..
if so, then yes.. I replaced mine with aluminum, and replaced the screws with rivets..

I can either make you one, or PM you the measurements (tonight) to fit one... basicly I duplicated the origional piece out of aluminum bar stock, and drilled holes large enough to accept pop rivets in place of the screws that hold the hooks to the plastic piece...
I also replaced the end caps with end caps from Joe Jackson..
