So im in the middle of it now, COVERED in grease :P I need to fix these oil leaks. Took off the starter and was able to the can out, got the new sensor in and I am just looking for the pic that shows which is DG and which is BG :P. Will post pics later.

Ok so I got to drive it home today Its nice having a car again.
While trying the crush the cup I ended up making it just small enough to where it would fall out of reach of the hole... AWESOME!!!! So long story short I pulled the starter and gently hand cranked the crankshaft pulley until the cup eventually fell out. I cleaned up the starter and inspection plate while I had it off, all this caked on oil is making my eye twitch due to my project OCD.
I need to check the sensor on an oscilloscope tomorrow, but it feels like I don't have the power that I used to.... And I even had my butt dyno calibrated yesterday so we shall see what I find tomorrow.
Photodump time...

So the car runs great, I noticed I have a little bit less power than I used to though, Going to take the sensor back out and double check the clearance if the pattern on the oscilloscope looks anything but perfect.

So lack of power ended up being a mixture of water under the distributor cap (wtf?) and alot of moisture on the coil. Dried everything out and it ran like a dream, still have to do a TON of general maintenance to it though.

Great to hear!
There is a seal between the distributer cap and cam gear sheild/cover...
In picture cut out the center part-should not be there.

The moisture could also be thrown up from a leaky waterpump seal.
