Default Time to pull the engine

During my springbreak I broke a bolt off in the block for the oil cooler and have not been able to get it out. Looks like I am going to be pulling the motor and taking it to the machine shop for them to remove or dril and heilacoil it. Sucks.

What else should I do while the motor is out. At this point it's basically a short block with the pan on it. The whole front and head were already off for some maintance. I figured a rear main seal and I have a slave rebuild kit. I haven't had any issues with the clutch but should I replace it while it's out? If so should I just get a new friction disc and throw out bearing or a whole clutch kit? I would prefer not to spend that much money though. I was thinking about ordering some new motormounts.

Did you remove the exhaust manifold? If you haven't that might make getting the bolt out without removing the motor possible.

Head and manifold are off. The machine shop wants it out. I trust them to drill the required hole of the helicoil truer than me laying on my back with the drill. I even unbolted one side of the cross member some and lowered that side about an inch.

What's the best place to hook the back of the engine hoist to if the cam tower, head, and intake mani are off?
