Unhappy My Porsche joined Ferdinand on Friday

On Thursday April 5th, 2011, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche died at the age of 76 ..
On Friday April 6th, 2011 my Porsche joined him in car heaven at the age of 26...

R.I.P Porsche *Missed and Never Forgotten

* Long story short in an attempt to avoid a Dump Truck which pulled out in front of me going about 30mph slower; i struck a guard rail and totaled the my 944... (see the 'Story Board' Below..)

The Car is Totaled; repair estimate is : $8,227.39!!!

Anyway. I have enjoy being a active owner on this Forum! Hopefully my posts and comments have helped others and will contribute growing 944 resources online. I know I have learned a lot from this site, and this is a great group!

Good luck to everyone, Maybe i'll be back again someday! Cheers!

Glad you're okay - that's number one... car can be replaced...

As for your graphics, that's hysterical... I'm glad you posted that!

Did the dumptruck cut you off? Are they liable?

First and foremost, main thing is that you are ok.

My son called me a couple of months ago all upset when he spun his Mustang out and went from one side on the interestate to the other doing circles the whole way. Scared the holy hell out of him and he was in 100% flipping out mode when I answered the phone. He kept apologizing over and over about the car and first thing I told him was: "Shut up about the car son, the car is nothing, you are everything."

Is the frame straight? If frame is straight the rest could be done. (I know I know you can straighten a car frame I just never have been a believer in it.) If your not sure you want to say good bye to her then do more homework. I have seen worse cars brought back.

Either way good luck and glad your still vertical.

If your going to crash atleast invole the vehicle that caused it, unless your speeding like a madman.

Ahh what a shame of these kind of accidents! I'm so glad that the insurance in the Netherlands are allowed to sue the guy that cuts you off!

Love your graphics on the incident. Hate to see that your car was the one involved.

I'm glad to see you have a good sense of humor about it. I know I would personally be devastated. I almost lost my baby last week when some moron came to a complete stop in the left lane of a 65mph highway at night with tractor trailers buzzing by on the right. I was only 30m behind. Luckily I had some room on the left to escape. You weren't so lucky.
