Here are a couple quick pics:
It looks great but is there going to be another/optional housing for the MAF sensor (i.e. a complete cylinder) for other air intake set ups besides the stock air box?

Rob, thanks for the heads-up. I've already picked a sensor. I was just trying to elaborate on some of the difficulties associated with doing a proper MAF setup for the 944NA.

Not at first. To keep costs down, there will be the one style (at leas at first). You can always put on a filter adapter to the pipe, just like you could with the stock AFM...

+1 a cylinder option would be good. I'm sure a lot of us have removed that airbox long ago and going from cylinder to adapter to cylinder on this would be a step backwards.

How about issuing a cylinder option first with an adapter for the airbox, cover all bases? Seems like it would be easier but I'm no expert

I would be in for something that is plug and play. Is this going to require a modded chip? I already have the Wilk chip.
I have not eliminated the stock airbox, so the airbox fitting works for me. I've gone as far as I am comfortable with modding my afm. (I removed almost half a shot glass worth of aluminum from the inside when I got creative with my diegrinder, but I still have the same flapper door just like everyone else)

It will be plug and play, and will replace your current chip. It uses proper maf coding rather than emulation so in other words, it is just like a factory maf car.

Just answering for Joshua.

Hrm, I haven't considered this... The problem, is that there isn't much room to play with (MAF and adapter + coupler in the same space). Additionally, the NA air-box, while it isn't pretty, draws in cold-air, and has a large filter area... I do not believe there is much (if any gains) from eliminating it. AND any gains would require a proper cold-air induction. If you have a simple cone filter sucking in engine bay heat, then most likely there is a reduction in power compared to the stock box.

Yes, they are on the list - expecting sometime this summer.

Obviously the gains are not going to be like a turbo car. But the price is going to be significantly less than the turbo kit...
