well im getting ground control rear coilovers, and ground control front coilover conversion sleeve things. i already rub and but im on 17's. so i figure with 400-450lb spring rates, stretched tiers on 16s, and CAMBER ill be okay but like you said because race car is gonna total about $2100 for my bumper, fenders, wheels, and coil overs so all in all its not that bad.

Also, if you have done any major upgrades, you may be able to fax-in receipts to increase the value of the car. That's what I'm doing.. Luckily I have receipts for things like turbo brakes and s2 motor swap.
Tank your car is way too nice to let it go to the scrap yard. You have too many upgrades. It is also worth way more than $2,500 so fight it.

.

BTW who do you know at the DMV to get that unusal plate?

I am 4 1/4" from the ground with that lip and I have scraped 4 times now being very careful every time. The slightest dip in the road it hits.

This is my 2nd lip. The first one I lost to a tire tread flying around on I95.

It is if you have a real 951 bumper along with the highlight covers and the buckets. You also have to either roll the fenders or get 951 fenders. The 951 header panel has a greater curve to it than the 944 NA header panel.

Now mine is the after market fiberglass bumper for the N/A so I only had to get the 951 metal bumper along with the shorter bumper shocks from a 951 and the lights. I got them all from dismantlers on ebay. I say the thing cost me about $300.

Than the lip was $250 and new from the vender that makes them and also made of fiberglass. The 1st lip was fiberglass also that is why it cracked when I hit the tire tread at 75 miles per hour.

Look on ebay. Mine are used but in great shape. I think I paid $100 for them. That for all four - the turns and the fogs. But I did buy the clear lens from Hooked on cars.

There is a big difference in the price of the NA fogs vs the 951 fogs.

Damn, you guys are picky! The ****ty cars I had in college looked worse than that when I bought them! I've got a side marker light if you need it. Assuming the suspension just needs re-alignment (frame is OK), do the minimum and DRIVE IT! You'll likely have to park it outside at college anyway, right? It is likely to get a lot of abuse. Pretty can come later, school is important (and expensive)!

If you need some front spindles I have some from an 86 you can have for shipping. Or I have some from an 86 turbo you can buy.

Haha this is so true! My saab was perfect when I went to college, drunk driver took off the rear bumper, drunk kids body slammed the hood, drunk driver took off the front bumper, and 2 busted out windows over 4 years

After the rear bumper was taken off by a dd I ended up rallying the car anyways so body panels became unimportant to me anyways

I was gonna replace the bumpers but since they were gonna get mangled again anyways just busted out the drill, zip ties and pop rivet gun! (its amazing what you can keep in place with those 3 things!) Ended up have to replace the hood though good thing my silver was a popular color. Also lets just say I have to pay more for glass insurance nowadays than I really should!
