Default Door lock linkage **** broke

So I finally ordered a new door handle and I went to transfer my old lock mechanism into it when I noticed the little ball **** that makes the lock work is broken off. The problem is that I can't seem to find the replacement part anywhere. I found an image to explain. The blue arrow is the part I need but all of the parts sites I have found sell the piece the red arrow is pointing to(#7 on the exploded diagram) as well as the linkage (#9) but there is none that have the bit with the **** on it. Is there anyone who knows where to get it? I'll feel like a fool if someone has an instant reply but I have been searching for the past hour-plus to no avail.

I would think that from the diagram that it's part of part # 7.

The guy in the parts department at the local dealer told me that I couldn't buy a whole new door handle through them, much less parts for one. He was clearly an idiot.

I was assuming that #7 could also include that part with it since they both fit together. I called Auto Atlanta as they had #7 listed on their website. The woman told me that the computer said they had never sold that part before but she would check if they had it. They did but she couldn't tell me if it had the ball piece with it. I'm just going to order it as a shot in the dark and hopefully I will luck out.

Almost sure is part# 477837497

Get it from Pelican or dealer, even of AA have it, which I guarantee they will not, they will send you the wrong part, a used one or get something else wrong with your order.

Good to know, I'll call Pelican tomorrow and order it through them if they have it. Thanks for the help!

This is an internal part. The part sees some ware over time. I would go to a salvage yard and buy the whole handle. It will come with the part that you need now and perhaps in the future. It will also save you a few bucks.
