Cool FS Custom 24 pin dme eprom chip from Superchips Inc

Hi RL, I have a custom eprom chip (24 pin) for an 86 951, according to superchips inc, it will also work on NA models with 24 pin DME's. This chip will give your 951 a 35HP increase and a 64 ft lb. torque increase. It is approved for use in CA. It will also increased ignition timing at part and wide open throttle, fuel is increased at wide open throttle, and RPM and speed limit are modified. Manufacturer recommends use of high octane fuel with this chip. I am asking $55 shipped anywhere in USA. The horsepower increase on an NA is 18 HP and 20 ft lbs of torque. Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks in advance!!

I wasn't aware chips were swappable between NA's and Turbos?

For the price I suppose I'm interested but I'd like to be more certain it would work in an NA.

i will test it out and let you know. but according to superchips it will work on both cars with 24 pin dme's which you have according to your cars list. anything '87 and on has a 28 pin dme chip.

What are the octane requirements? Higher than 91?

i just put the chip in a 1986 944 na, started, ran, no issues . 91 octane and your good to go. if it was for turbo, i would say add a 3 bar fpr to keep things safe. I did find out that the chip will not fit into an early car (Pre 85.5) due to the fact that the early computers have the eprom chip soldered to the dme unit . The 1986 car has a removable eprom . I popped out the stock one and plugged in my super chip. I had no problems. So, if the dme is under the steering wheel area, this chip is not for you, but, if the dme is in the passenger floorboard, and the car is in fact an 86, should be fine. Hope this helps.

Welp got it installed today.

It definitely changed things, thats for sure. Engine is much smoother, more low end grunt, and it sounds different - throatier. Nothing too amazing but its an interesting change! I'll have to see once I start driving it more.
