Default Rear Bumper Options

I am looking for options to replace my rear bumper. I know I could get a stock USA bumper with the ugly bumper pads, but I want a more streamlined look. How much do the euro spec bumpers go for? Can you get them in the states?

Has anyone ordered a fiberglass bumper from Texas Performance Concepts?

You can always shave the rear bumper pads off, and end up with a smoother look, I don't think it looks as good as the ROW bumper, but it does clean things up a bit.

Try and order one from ebay uk.

Just be sure to get the mounts, NA and turbo mounts are different.

Where can I get the mounts from? The only ones I found on the ebay UK are these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PORSCHE-92...item25797f6e79

I found a decent amount of bumpers. Are the rear bumpers themselves different for NA's and turbos?

yes, the NA bumper has a thinner strip, the turbo is wider with a provision for a rear tow eye.

I recently fell in love with the fiberwerks f44 rear bumper.

Will probably order one in the near future...

The turbos had big ugly rear pads also? I know my 2 N/A cars have but my turbo parts car as a single narrow black strip that runs across horizonatally.

Click Here for my euro bumper thread, it includes part numbers, etc. for the mounting brackets.

As has been mentioned, the turbo bumper has a hole in the rub strip to accommodate a tow eye, which threads into a special (and expensive) mount. If you don't want to mess with the tow eye you can use two of the other mounts, with either the NA or turbo bumper, which is what I did until I came across a used tow eye mount for cheap.

Ian - your car looks great! What color is that? The bright silver wheels go great with the color.

That would be a Euro bumper. Can't tell (from just that) if the whole car is a Euro or if it just has the bumper.

It's my preference to stick with the stock U.S. bumper for the added impact absorption.

Take care!
