Tips for anti corrosion for inside of torque tube?
I'm rebuilding my TT and ready to install the new bearings. I have blasted the tube and painted it. I also cleaned out the inside which had some anti corrosion on it that looks like wax. I want to treat it with some kind of anti-corrosion product, but I'm worried it will be too slippery to keep the bearings in place while inserting the drive shaft.
I have considered installing the bearings in a dry tube, then use a long hose with a nozzle to spray the inside of the tube. Then clean the centres of the bearings using a long rod with a rag on it, sort of like a long tip-ex. This method seems safer, but I'm still worried the bearings may move.
Finally I've heard the TT gets pretty hot from the exhaust. I'm worried the heat will melt the wax and turn it into a lubricant and cause the bearings to start spinning in the tube.
My mate suggested linseed oil. He recons it hardens when it dries and becomes very sticky. It will work as a glue to keep all the bearings in place. The heat may be a problem though. I don't want my car to literally stink every time it is driven hard...
Thoughts/suggestions?

Really the bearings are made to spin.. i doubt with even a loose-ish fit it'll spin in the TT unless they seize up but i doubt that unless you've used the wrong bearings

Chrome plating would be too cool
All my bearings were rotating fine but the shaft was still spinning in the bearing at the rearmost position. I agree about the bearings spinning in the tube being unlikely though. There is a lot more area to grip the tube than there is to grip the shaft. I just want to be on the safe side.

Is the wax cosmoline?
If you were here then Jet Hot might work. I am sure there are similar coatings in Norway too.
As they said maybe some paint. Of course for the serious bling, then hard chrome.
