Default replacement Porsche Badge

Where is the best place to get a replacement badge? Mine is really fades and looks horrible. I thought about plasti-dipping it but I'm interested in a good replacement as well.

I'm not sure what would look good on a Kalahari Beige 951. Would plastdip not look good?

I went to a local powder coater and they blasted the crest for free. They said the old stuff came out pretty easy, and it took less than a min.

Edit: I was originally quoted $10 to $15 to have the crest blasted from the same people, but like I said above....

I have one on sale on e-Bay right now. (e-Bay seller name: poppyd11)

I have another emblem that I am considering for sale.

For a Rennlister, I'd make a special deal on the one I still have.

(Note to forum administrator: if discussing my personal items for sale on e-Bay is against forum rules, please delete this posting)

Agree. I had a friend blast mine and I used rattle can Blitz Black (John Deere flat black). I did buy a new gasket for it though.

I could see that being standard, but I would feel guilty charging anything to blast something so small and quick. Businesses have to charge money though I guess.

Jeff if you want to glass bead blast it, you can stop by the shop and use the bead blaster anytime.

I picked all of the red/black glass out, cleaned it real good, and used Testors model paint to re-do the red and black. It isn't perfect but looks good from 10 feet.

I have a new badge that is the newer style - from like a 996, where the badge is not in 3-d. The entire badge is flat with the same coloring and is the same size as the old ones. I will sell it for $60 shipped - comes with a new seal and 2 used speed nuts. Let me know if you are interested. I will post a pic of it (next to the original style one on my 951) when I get home tonight.

Here is a picture of the newer model badge from a 997. It is smooth across all the way to the slightly raised outline on the edge of the badge. The styling of the crest is a bit different, but it it the same size as the original for 944's and comes with new gasket and 2 used speed nuts for mounting. I'll take $60 shipped (to lower 48 states) for it. Part number for badge is 997.559.211.00 and gasket is 7L5.853.611 B.

Let me know if it interests you.

Not to hijack - but I'll take it if the OP doesn't mind.
