Finished my dual headlight HID lights
Finally decided to take on this project before I need to go back to school. The actual projectors are from an 96 Audi A6 but many of the 80's and 90's BMW's have identical projectors. Total cost of the build was about $160 and took a weekend to complete, of course it can be done for much cheaper and quicker next time around as I had to go through a lot of trial and error.
Light output is much better than stock and is not blinding as the projectors put out very good and aim-able beams. Here are a few pictures (the yellow tint in the lights are from the flash). Currently it is wire to have the bigger outside light on for low beams, and both lights for when the high beams are turned on.

Thanks guys for the compliments. For the covers you sheet of acrylic use the old cover as a template and cut out the acrylic piece. Then place the acrylic piece on top of the cover in the oven at about 350 degrees and it molds to the shape. For the buckets I made cardboard templates, then took them to my local sheet metal shop and they made replicas for just $30.

Can you supply a few pics of your buckets from inside the hood and from outside? They look great. How do you adjust the beams? Do you have to use a special relay to handle the load?
